Designed to combine protection and comfort when sailing, its specific construction allows the wearing of a seat or waist harness (soft and elastic in the lower part) by preventing it from rising (the harness is held in place by the relief of the shock-absorbing pads). Placed over the entire upper part, the Shock Pads effectively protect against shocks, cushion falls and provide a flotation aid (it is not a life jacket). They also provide a very good thermal barrier during winter sessions
